Multicare Associates is continually in the process of reviewing and implementing Best Practice guidelines. These nationally recognized guidelines ensure that patients receive the latest in medical recommendations for a given service.

Mammography is available at Fridley Medical Center. A mammogram is an x-ray of the breast capable of detecting cancerous tumors that are too small to be felt by hand. Mammography equipment is ACR accredited and FDA approved.

Minnesota Free Vaccines for Children is a state program that provides vaccines that are paid for by the state. Depending on medical insurance, some adults also qualify for this program. Note that this program provides only free serum for the vaccination. The cost of administering the vaccination still falls on the patient.

Multicare works with other independent clinics in Minnesota through a group called Physician’s Service Network. Our participation in this group helps us increase our purchase power with our suppliers through common purchase contracts. Periodically Multicare Associates mails letters to patients advising them of suggested applicable preventive health services. Such letters are sent on a "Preventive Health Services" letterhead. These letters, which we refer to as "Recall Letters," are mailed automatically based on information held in our patient and patient billing databases.

Multicare has implemented a "Visit Planning" program at each clinic to ensure patients receive nationally recommended preventive services within the recommended time intervals.
