Dr. Carlson is a general Internal Medicine physician and University of Minnesota Medical School graduate. He comes to the North Metro after years of practice in North Dakota. With more than 30 years of clinical experience, he specializes in the prevention, detection and treatment of adult illnesses.
Dr. Carlson will start seeing patients in May at both our Fridley and Blaine clinics.
Recommended Vaccine
The ACIP (Advisory Committee Immuninization Practices) and the CDC (Center for Disease Control) are now recommending that people 65 and older, that have close contact with children and babies, have a Tdap (tetanus, diptheria and acceluar pertussis). This is due to the rise of whooping cough (Pertussis) in the five county area. If you have close contact with children or babies, please consider making an appointment for this vaccination soon!
2010-2011 Flu Season
New this year is the Fluzone High Dose vaccine for those 65 years of age and older. Fluzone High Dose was designed specifically to generate a more robust immune response to influenza in adults 65 or older.
The flu vaccine is recommended for all patients. We anticipate our delivery of the flu vaccine in mid October.
